On December 9th, a nice couple from far away Beijing were the first Chinese property buyers to receive their Residence Permit in Chania, based on the new law voted back in April this year which ‘opened the door’ to non-EU Nationals to receive a residence permit provided that they obtain a property at a minimum value of €250,000.
Three months ago the particular couple purchased a nice beach-front townhouse in one of the finest developments of Leptos Estates in Chania, the Aphrodite seafront, aiming to receive a residence permit in Greece through the new law (ν.4146/2013), which the country envisioned to boost foreign investments.
