Greece has been named the fastest-growing destination for 2018 and the most in demand country in the world for affluent holidaymakers, according to global luxury travel network Virtuoso.
Virtuoso is a network of the best luxury travel agencies around the globe, with over 17,500 advisors worldwide, representing elite hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and airlines.
“Greece’s combination of ancient attractions and stunning scenery beckons travelers to return this year,” Virtuoso announced.
A leading trend forecaster, Virtuoso has analysed its data warehouse of 40.7 billion dollars in transactions to reveal the top destinations for upscale travellers for summer 2018, as well as the fastest-growing places of interest.
Greece was named first in Virtuoso’s “Hot 10” list, which includes the countries that have seen the largest percentage of growth in year-over-year bookings.
