New Distance MSc in European Politics and Governance by Neapolis University 
Neapolis University in Cyprus announces the distance MSc in European Politics and Governance from September 2019 onwards. Cyprus Economy Continues to Grow for Fifth Consecutive Year 
Finance Minister Harris Georgiades said on Wednesday that the economy has continued to grow for the fifth consecutive year. In a written statement, the minister said the growth of the Cypriot economy remains strong at 3.4 per cent during the first three months of 2019 and 3.2 per cent for the second three months.
 
 
Paphos Residents Organise to Plant 100,000 Trees 
Inspired by the citizens’ initiative “300,000 Trees in Nicosia’ a group in Paphos has got together to set up the “100,000 Trees in Paphos” initiative aiming at mobilizing local authorities, the Forestry Department and other groups to facilitate a massive tree planting project in autumn 2019.

Cyprus July Sets Record for Tourist Arrivals 
July 2019 sets a new all-time record for tourist arrivals for the specific month, breaking the 550,000 mark. According to the Statistical Service, 550,971 people visited Cyprus in July 2019 compared to 539,626 in the same month last year, an increase of 2.1 per cent.
 
Savvas Perdios: News in September Over Flights to Cyprus and German Market 
The next month will be crucial for the tourist industry in Cyprus, Tourism Deputy Minister Savvas Perdios has said, noting that he expects to be informed in September about an increase in flights to Cyprus and about the outcome of efforts to attract tourism from Germany, the Cyprus News Agency reports.
